The Dragon and The Cross: The Rise and Fall of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom is fully covers the Taiping Movement (1851-1864) during the late time of Qing Dynasty. Even the movement was failed, but it gave a heavy blow to Qing Dynasty.
In this game, both Taiping and Qing players try to control or maintain the government of China. Taiping player starts from scratch, to become a major military presence in China, while Qing player starts from no interest to a fully involved. Game uses action point balloting activation system, the process is simple and straightforward. To experience the battles of China in the late Qing Dynasty, whether you can unify the whole country and change the history is depend on your decision.
The Dragon and The Cross is a remake of Manchu: The Taiping Rebellion (S&T #116). This remake is newly added event cards.
